Snow Day

This is the most snow Carter has ever seen! Matt took him out late tonight and they played in the driveway. He was so cute throwing snowballs, making his 1st snowman, and making snow angels.

And I have to post this picture, even though it's a little fuzzy. After I put him down for a nap, he got out of bed and played with toys for a while. We could hear him for a while and then everything was quiet, but he wasn't back in his bed. I went up to check on him and this is what I found...my little man must have rocked himself to sleep while reading a book...so adorable!!!!

Pizza and Ice Cream

A girl from Matt's work had given him tickets to the Battle of the Boulevard for tonight...Carter was so excited since he's never been to a basketball game. The whole night ended up being a bust...both of us got home late from work, I didn't have time to cook dinner (which isn't the best for a pregnant mommy), and by the time we got down there- every parking spot for miles around was full! We drove around for half an hour and then decided to get something to eat (because mommy couldn't go any longer without food)...we headed to Maffioza's, yum-o! And then they were totally packed out by the time we got there! We ended up driving home and having pizza at a place near our house and then getting Baskin Robbins ice cream. We were both sad for Carter since he had been so excited, but I think he was totally fine after his pizza and ice cream treat!

Carter's 2nd Dentist Visit

I managed to get one smile after they took us in the back.Didn't last long...here comes the scared face...
Happy again afterwards, in the play area! They said he had some of the strongest lip muscles they had ever seen...no kidding! : ) It is a battle everday to brush his teeth! They actually gave me two toothbrushes for him...one to pry his mouth open and one to brush his teeth! : )

Oh, and I have to add a picture of Mere showing me her earrings (it's hard to see in the picture, but they are so cute)! When I dropped Carter off after the dentist, she was so excited to show them to me! She kept flipping her head from side to side...so cute! : )

Zing, Zang, Zoom Circus!

We took Carter to his 1st Circus today! It was so much fun! He was really tired and actually fell asleep before the tigers came out! At least he was able to see the elephants...those were mommy's favorite! : ) I took a ton of pictures, so I'll just post a few...

Mimi and Aunt Joy even came with us!

Afterwards, we went to eat lunch at Panera (since mommy and Baby 2 were starving) and then we stopped by Daddy's office.

BIG NEWS!!!

WE'RE PREGNANT! I know, I still don't think it has sunk in yet, but we are soooo excited!!! Carter seems super excited too! When you ask him what mommy is having, he says "a baby"...it is so cute! Or sometimes he'll throw in "Baby Jesus"! : ) Since we called Carter Baby B, we were calling this baby- Baby B 2, but Carter has shortened it to Baby 2. So, Baby 2 is expected to arrive around August 10th! Since Carter was a winter baby, he wasn't able to get out much, so hopefully the weather isn't too hot and we can get outside more with Baby 2...that will be so nice, especially since Carter loves being outside! I've been nauseous, especially in the mornings, but I think it's easier to control with the second pregnancy. I've been so exhausted this pregnancy too...I'm sure it's because I have a busy little man I'm always trying to keep up with. I don't think Matt or Carter have ever seen mommy this tired! It's been harder for me to cook lately too...I can't just eat anything, I have to eat what sounds good! Which lately, has been potato soup from Rafferty's, pizza, pickles, and ice cream! : ) I didn't have cravings with Carter until later on in my pregnancy, but this time it has started really early!

12/27/09- these were the same pickles that I always wanted when I was pregnant with Carter! I ate the whole jar tonight! : ) They were B1 G1 at Publix, so Matt went back and got 6 jars of them! : )
1/11/2010- typically my cravings always involve seeing the food first and then wanting it...except this night! When I was pregnant with Carter I always thought it would be so neat to have cravings during the middle of the night and have to send Matt to the grocery store...I'm sure he is thankful that I never did! : ) Late this night, I all of a sudden started craving ice cream in a waffle cone (which I usually never want) from Baskin Robbins...he had specific instructions to get at least two scoops (sherbet and strawberry)...basically the biggest ice cream cone he could get...ha, ha! It was soooo good! : )

On top of everything else we have going on, we decided to put our house back on the market...the market has maybe improved slightly...maybe! It still isn't a good time, but we would love more room and no steps...and a bigger yard!!! It is hard enough with a toddler and steps, but having a toddler and a baby and steps...especially when Matt is out of town, I dread the thought! I fell down our steps when I was far along in my pregnancy with Carter and am still traumatized! So we'll see...if it doesn't sell by the end of August, we'll take it off again for a while.

Our first Dr. Appt. went great and we'll have a 12 week ultrasound soon. I'll also start posting my belly pics! : )

Lola's new cage

Carter had a blast playing in Lola's new cage. He was bummed that he could only play in it for a few hours...we told him as soon as Lola moved in, he couldn't play in there anymore.

Oh, and here's a picture of our new outdoor rug...I'm so excited about it, I love the colors! And it's mostly made of plastic, so it should last a lot longer than the other ones we've had out there!

Super Darder B!

There is something about these super hero PJ's that make Carter wild...as soon as you put them on! He added a monkey to his outfit tonight! He was running around saying "Super Darder B"! : ) When he was first learning how to say his name he would say "Darder Babin". He can say his name now, but I still love Darder! : )

New Years Day

Daddy and Unc Matt started off the day running the Resolution 5K- poor guys, the weather was horrible!

We watched the parade and since Carter didn't have an instrument, we had to improvise...
We played blocks and trains...

Mere even came over to play! Carter was trying to convince her that there was a bird under the table...either she didn't believe him or didn't want to be near the imaginary bird...this is as close as she would get...
